We had successfully conducted our second video conference on 1.02.2021 on zoom platform. We had a cheerful interactive session where we shared questions about saving food. We really enjoyed our conference and got to know The Netherland students more better.
Comparison & Differences:
- The Netherland Students rated the tips, provided for us to follow in order to save food, ranging from 1(Excellent)-5(Weak). We, the Indian Students kept our weekly diaries, however did not rate the tips.
- We conducted interviews to know more about saving food for our research. The Netherland Students did not conduct interviews, instead they approached Online Platforms and School as a way to research on Food Wastage.
- They have suggested a method of increasing the food prices, so that the students buy minimal products, and the school doesn’t have to buy more products. In our School, we usually have a fixed canteen menu, and a fixed quantity of food given (according to the prices), and if a student needs more food, the prices are increased accordingly.
- Their research on the effect of food waste on climate change was a more scientific and statistical approach than us.
Similarities:
- The Tips for Saving food provided by both the groups are almost very similar. For example: The Netherland Students mentioned about taking food in necessary quantities. Which we did too !
- Both the groups suggested the idea of donating food.
